Mikron NRG Plus universal transfer machine allows to clamp larger work pieces – up to 80 x 80 x 80 mm or with a diameter of 65 mm, 100mm long.
Highest precision is guaranteed with the exclusive ATS (Advanced Thermal Stabilisation) system.
MORE AND MORE PERFORMING
Meeting in Hall 17, Stand C65: Mikron SA Agno proposes a further evolution of NRG transfer, a universal and standardized solution that is easily reconfigurable for future applications. Tooled with 12 working stations with 3 CNC units each, up to 96 tools on the machine, it has a total of up to 30 independent machining units that can perform turning, milling, deep-hole-drilling, recessing, and deburring on all 6 sides of a work piece. The working units are equipped with automatic tool changer and this makes the system extremely flexible. Highest precision is archived with the exclusive ATS (Advanced Thermal Stabilisation) system which circulates oil, water and air at controlled temperatures ensuring thermal stabilization of all machine elements.
The Plus version is even more productive, flexible and versatile. Multiple clamping of 2, 3 or more work pieces in a single fixture affords reductions in unproductive time: for example, if 4 parts are clamped, the table rotation time drops to a mere 0:25 seconds/piece and the tool changes are reduced down to 0.8 seconds/piece. The simultaneous movement of all 5 axes, a first in a transfer system of this size, dramatically increases productivity since the movement of the B/C axes occurs during the transfer movement of the table. New spindles with better performance, in combination with an accelerated tool change system, saves additional machining time. Work pieces are loaded by a robot with interchangeable grippers to reduce changeover time. The B/C axes have a standardized interface to enable a quick change of work piece clamping system components.
